The Key to Consistency and Profitability for Small Business Owners
Carla Sophia, Founder, Hello Socialite
“The bottom line is I believe whole-heartedly that social media is the new foundation of your business.” That is one of the first things people read about me when visiting my website. I know it to be true based on my own experience as a small business owner right here in Jacksonville.
My name is Carla Sophia, and I am the owner of Hello Socialite, a collaborative agency that thrives on the passion that fellow entrepreneurs have for their own businesses. Building a business from the ground up is a transformative rollercoaster of a process that requires non-stop dedication and persistence. My job is to create a compelling social media strategies to get businesses owners and their products and services in front of the right audiences to ensure that their long hours of work and investment turn out fruitful.
Opportunity is out there, and it is right at our fingertips. Social media platforms are constantly adapting and presenting new options for engagement, and I continue to learn and adapt every step of the way. In May, I attended the Meta Boost event in Washington D.C. to continue this education, learning how to fully capitalize on the digital tools offered by Instagram and Facebook, such as Reels, Highlights and Guides, that can help me market myself to a larger audience.
During my time in D.C., I also had the privilege of visiting Senator Tillis’s office to discuss the challenges of being a small business owner in North Carolina and share my passion for social media and the prospects it makes available for small business owners like me. The world we live in changes each and every day, and small business owners are forced to adapt to ensure that their passions are a success. Platforms like Facebook and Instagram have been monumental for me both as the basis of my business and as the tool that has propelled my business into greater success.
We must ensure that these tools are available and accessible for entrepreneurs like me who are the lifeblood of cities and towns across North Carolina. Fellow small business owners, continue to explore the possibilities of growth and expansion that came come from utilizing these online tools. You never know when your content will make it in front of the right person at the right
time.
Knowing how to utilize the opportunities presented by social media is often the difference between success and failure in today’s world. It is the key to consistency and profitability. It allows us to dig deep into how people interact with the world around them and how best to appeal to them. This is exactly why I rely on my Facebook and Instagram presence to market my own services.
